Head of School
Dr. Romans joins Pine Cobble School from St. Paul Academy and Summit School in Minnesota, where she has served since 2002, including eight years as Assistant Head of School. A seasoned educator and clinical neuropsychologist, she brings a wealth of experience as a teacher from early childhood through university levels and as a leader, including 13 years as Middle School Principal. Her deep understanding of student development—academic, social-emotional, and civic—guides her thoughtful and inclusive approach to education.
Dr. Romans has evaluated and counseled children and adults in both school and clinical settings, integrating developmental research and neuropsychological insights into effective, student-centered practice. She has presented at national conferences and written on topics related to child and adolescent learning.
An alumna of Williams College and mother of a 2020 Williams graduate, Dr. Romans shares that “Williamstown already feels like home.” She earned her MA and PhD in clinical psychology from Drexel University.
Known for her warmth, strong communication skills, and strategic leadership, Dr. Romans inspires trust and cultivates a strong sense of community. Her leadership at St. Paul Academy included professional development, parent education, and service learning, reflecting her commitment to nurturing growth in both students and adults.
