Is it acceptable for teachers of 3rd and up to give students a second mask (handing it to them with a glove on) to put in their desk in a bag for a student to access when their mask breaks, allowing teachers to have more time to teach instead of needing to get a new mask every time a student has a mask break during class?

Yes, please distribute 2-3 masks safely to each student in your class (3rd and up is likely the best age for this, but Kristine, Kay and Ashley I leave it to you if you feel 1st graders having extra masks in their desks makes sense) in a paper or ziploc bag. And, it is fine to have 2-3 in a student’s bag in their desk so they don’t need to ask for a new one as often.
