When can an adult go into a child’s box?

Written by Eric Uthus on October 2, 2020

Going in and out of a box for short periods of time – handing out paper, picking up paper or supporting an emotional child from behind them are all acceptable.

If a child needs support academically and there is no other way to do that than to come up behind them in their box, please do so. Please stay behind them as you support them and please limit your time in the box to less than five minutes. The least amount of time to fill the need is the goal.

Look for opportunities to minimize the time that we are within six feet of one another.
