ASK Coordinator

Kristy Samson is a longtime educator who has worn various hats throughout the years, mostly in preschools and elementary schools. She has been a lead preschool teacher, after-school group leader and site coordinator, lead summer camp counselor, and a tutor for both kindergarten and first-grade classrooms. She earned a BA in early childhood education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an AA in early childhood education and care from Berkshire Community College.

Kristy was happy to accept the ASK Coordinator and Summer Camp Director position at Pine Cobble School in January 2023. She has found that Pine Cobble feels like home to her–a warm and welcoming place where students and faculty feel like family.

Kristy prides herself on her leadership skills, organization skills, positive attitude, and self-motivation. She is dedicated to creating meaningful after-school and summer camp programs. Her focus is to provide students with fun and engaging experiences based on their interests. Kristy has created many after-school clubs within her first year. They include a card club, outdoors and hiking clubs, tumbling, photography, robotics and coding, and many art clubs.

Kristy resides in North Adams with her partner and with her son, Avery. In her spare time, she enjoys taking pictures, visiting new places, reading poetry, and hiking.
