The Plant Sale Cometh!

Written by Christy Richardson on May 23, 2014

Pine Cobble School is pleased to host its fourth annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 31, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The potluck-style plant sale is modeled after the former ABC plant sale; gardeners from throughout the region donate hundreds of successful plants from their own gardens — ensuring hardy plants that can thrive locally. Many of the plants at Pine Cobble’s plant sale come directly from the renowned gardens of Phil and Susie Smith, who hosted theABC plant sale for many years.

Plants are priced $2-$8. Plants of all sizes will be available, including hundreds of shade- and sun-loving perennials, both flowers and foliage, as well as herbs and Mother’s Day planters. We will also have free baked goods and coffee to sustain you while you shop, as well as a raffle for a flowering shrub. For buyers’ convenience, all plants will be organized by height, bloom season, and sun/shade preferences. Experienced gardeners will be on hand to advise customers as they make selections, and members of the Pine Cobble community will help carry selections to your car.

All proceeds will directly benefit children in our community; Pine Cobble School — which receives no state or federal funding — draws much of its budget for field trips from the sale.

Pine Cobble School is at 163 Gale Road in Williamstown. Enter the campus, then stay right and drive all the way to back of campus; signs will direct you.
