Buildings and Grounds Coordinator
Gary Herforth has been buildings and grounds coordinator at Pine Cobble School since 2010, savoring its close-knit community and the aesthetics of its spacious campus. He was previously part of management for the Berkshire Mall, in Lanesborough, Massachusetts, and held management positions elsewhere. A certified HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) technician, he also worked earlier for a tractor trailer firm as a diesel mechanic apprentice and a driver.
A lifelong resident of Berkshire County, Gary is an accomplished artist, producing both stained-glass works and wood laser-engravings. His other passions include fishing, hunting, and kayaking. He and his wife, Kathleen, who live in Pittsfield, have two sons and a stepdaughter, all now adults, as well as a grandson and two granddaughters.
