Pine Cobble School’s Outdoor Adventure is a week-long dive into nature. Students will build forts from natural materials, track animals, cook over an open fire, and spend beautiful days on some of the best trails in the area! The week ends in a campout, complete with a campfire and a chance to sleep beneath the stars. This program is run by teachers and outdoor enthusiasts Jay Merselis and Katie Cummings. Jay has been a teacher and administrator at Pine Cobble School for two decades; during that time, he led countless school trips into the backcountry, up mountains, down ski slopes, and to the seashore. Katie is Pine Cobble School’s first grade teacher, known for her enthusiasm, love of outdoor sports, and spirit of adventure."Move It! Former British national team member Natalie Harris will teach children the skills and concepts of the “beautiful game.” All levels are welcome; the program is designed to bring each child to his/her personal best, regardless of experience. Sports Fundamentals" DatesAugust 7 - August 11A solid and well-rounded athletic foundation boosts performance in all sports, prevents injury, and helps players overcome performance plateaus. Students will explore Pine Cobble School’s 20+ acre campus while drawing, painting, creating fiber art, printmaking, and sculpting works from nature. Depending on their interest, they might also take a field trip or two to some of our world-class museums. This program isn’t just about the joys of becoming an artist; it’s about the joys of being a kid! Karl is a folk musician and prolific, self-taught figurative and abstract artist whose work is collected by museums and individuals around the world. Karl has taught art at schools and museums in Pittsburgh and Manhattan, as well as throughout the Berkshires. He’s a natural born educator who believes in the power of creativity, in community, and in thinking differently and living joyfully.Message/CommentUntitledDEPOSITS & DISCOUNTS Weekly discount on 2nd and 3rd sibling of $25 per child.
