WHO WE ARE: A close-knit community, with a passion for teaching and learning, a strong emphasis on character, and a safe and nurturing environment. Here, we help students understand who they are as citizens and scholars, and we challenge them to become the best of who they can be.

LOCATION: 18-acre campus, originally a private estate designed by Olmsted Associates, in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Students come from Northern-Central Berkshire County, Massachusetts, as well as Southern Vermont, and Eastern New York.

ACADEMIC DIVISIONS: School includes four programs, each with three grades (two Pre_K classrooms, otherwise one classroom per grade): Early Childhood: Beginners, Pre-K, and Kindergarten; Lower School: grades 1, 2, and 3; Intermediate School: grades 4, 5, and 6; Upper School: grades 7 and 8.
SCHOOL DAY: 8:00 AM – 3:10 pm. Half-days, flexible days available for Beginners, Pre-K. Vibrant after-school program until 5:30 pm (small annual fee allows unlimited use).
ATHLETIC TEAMS: Interscholastic soccer, field hockey, ultimate frisbee and lacrosse; Winter Sports Program includes alpine skiing, snowboarding, skating, and cross-country skiing starting in Kindergarten.
ACCREDITATION: Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE); National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).
HEALTHY LIFESTYLE: At least 30 minutes outdoor recess daily for all grades. outdoor classes, strong commitment to free play.
LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION: Spanish begins at age 2.9.
EXTRACURRICULAR: Choir, athletic teams, yearbook, student council, drama, dance committee, outreach committee, writing club, Lego Robotics, tumbling, running club, and card club.
CO-CURRICULAR: Spanish language, instrumental and vocal music, studio art, athletic instruction, Language Day, Science Day, Math Day, community service built in curriculum, reading support, pottery studio, Latin, school musical.
SECONDARY SCHOOLS ATTENDED BY RECENT GRADUATES: Berkshire School, Burr and Burton Academy, Buxton School, Concord Academy, Darrow School, Deerfield Academy, Drury High School, Emma Willard School, Hoosac Valley High School, The Hoosac School, Hotchkiss School, McCann Technical High School, Middlesex School, Miss Hall’s School, Mt. AFFORDING PINE COBBLE: At least 1/3 of the student body receives financial aid. The school will work with any family to ensure that a Pine Cobble School education is accessible to students who are a strong fit.
